The War Series - Print 2

In 1999 I printed in north west spain in a small walled medieval town called Betanzos (one of the towns on the pilgrimage route to Santiago). A granite wild boar sculpture in Betanzos by an unknown medieval artist inspired this print. There was also the feeling of war and apocalypse on the eve of a millenium. The plague passed through this part of Spain & some of the walled towns were sealed up to try and prevent it from entering.
